What is “Burlesque”?
Burlesque is the “art of the strip-tease.” You can expect performers to slowly remove elaborate costuming throughout the course of a choreographed routine. Our goal is to keep you on the edges of your seats!
Will performers interact with me?
Yes! Burlesque is a participatory art form, so if you are very well behaved, the performers may hand you a glove or a boa. But we will not touch you, or ask you to do anything which makes you uncomfortable!
Can I touch performers?
Absolutely not! Like all great works of art, you can look, but please do not touch! Burlesque is not a contact sport. Guests who cannot respect this rule will be asked to leave.
What is your tipping policy?
At Diamonds & Pearls you can show performers your appreciation through cash or digital tipping! However, please don’t try to hand cash to us! We will have nowhere to put it and our hands are already occupied. Instead you can slip the money in an envelope which is provided at every table. If you prefer a digital option, you can scan the QR codes on each envelopes to access our Venmo & Cash App!
I’m a guest, can I take photos or videos?
Yes! However, please, NO FLASH! It is extremely distracting for performers! If you are going to post any photos or videos online, please tag us and we may repost your work!
I’m a photographer, can I bring a camera?
Yes! However, Diamonds & Pearls often hires photographers to take photos or videos, and any photographers who would like to take additional photos or videos should be mindful of limited space and defer to hired photographers. Photographers are also asked to be aware that performers will be often be nearly nude at the end of performances, and images captured at that time may not be appropriate for publishing. Please contact us for more details on what kind of footage or photos can or cannot be shared!
What should I wear to a show?
Diamonds & Pearls has no dress code, so feel free to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident! However, we will be transporting you back in time to the Golden Age of burlesque, so if you would like to dress up, we highly encourage it!
Why should I choose VIP?
VIP seating is for guests who want to watch our show in extra style and comfort! VIP tickets provide you and your party admission and guaranteed placement together in plush, lounge-style seating. We also ensure you have the best view in the house, near the biggest reveals, tricks, and can’t-miss choreography. Our VIP guests are also first choice for audience interaction, so if you’re up for the challenge of holding a boa or helping us pull a glove, VIP is the place for you!
